How to play
- Read the first clue, the league, and type a club. Pick one from the list to guess it.
- A wrong guess unlocks the next clue: the country and state, then the city, the stadium, the abbreviation with the club color, and finally the crest, blurred.
- Every guess shows whether it shares the league or country with the answer, and for US and Canadian clubs, how far and which way the answer's ground is from the guess.
- You have 6 guesses. Win or lose, the answer links to the club's page.
Which clubs are in the pool
148 clubs: every team SoccerMapd tracks across La Liga, MLS, NWSL, Premier League, Scottish Premiership, USL Championship, USL League One and USL Super League. Browse them in the pro teams directory, or see who is playing this week on the league schedules.
Questions
- When does a new puzzle come out?
- At midnight Eastern time, every day. A finished game shows a countdown to the next one. If you opened the page before midnight, you can still finish that puzzle after it.
- Which clubs can the answer be?
- Any of the 148 clubs SoccerMapd tracks across La Liga, MLS, NWSL, Premier League, Scottish Premiership, USL Championship, USL League One and USL Super League. National teams are not in the pool. When a club is added to the site it takes its share of the days ahead, and the other days keep their club.
- What do the chips on a guess mean?
- The league and country chips turn green when the guessed club shares that with the answer. For two clubs in the US and Canadian leagues, the distance and arrow run from the guessed club's home ground toward the answer's, so a guess in the wrong city still points you the right way. Clubs abroad have no mapped ground, so they show no distance.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Your guesses, results and streak are stored in this browser only, so nothing is sent to us beyond the guess being checked. Clearing site data or switching browsers starts the stats over.
- Is everyone guessing the same club?
- Yes. The club is chosen from the puzzle number, so every visitor gets the same club on the same day, and the share text shows only colored squares, never the name.
Follow one of these clubs?
