Badges for your own site
Two small images you are welcome to put on your website. One says your place is listed in the directory. The other says how your city ranks for soccer. Both are free, neither needs an account, and both link back to the page they are about so a visitor can go read it.
The listing badge
For a field, club, league, shop, indoor facility, pickup game, coach or training program, supporters chapter or bar that is listed here. The badge names the kind of place, not the place itself, so it keeps working if you rename the business. Two versions, one for a light site and one for a dark one, both 300 by 80.
The code is on your own listing page, because it carries your address and your name. Open the page for your place, scroll to Add the badge to your site, pick HTML or Markdown, and copy it. Paste it wherever you list your partners, or in the footer.
The city badge
For a league, club or city account that wants to show where their metro places in the soccer city rankings. Each metro is scored on six things: places to play, adult leagues, youth soccer, places to watch, shops and pro teams. Each of those is half how many listings we hold and half listings per 100,000 residents. One caveat, the same one the rankings page carries: both halves measure what we have listed, which reflects our collection as much as it reflects the city. The badge and its snippet live on the rankings page, next to the table the number comes from.
Why we offer this
It is a trade, and a small one. You get a mark for your site that looks fine next to a sponsor logo and tells a visitor there is a page about you somewhere with your address, your hours and a map. We get a link, which is how a directory gets found.
What the badge says is the whole of what it means: this place is listed on SoccerMapd. It is not a rating, a review, an award or a verification. We do not inspect anyone, we do not run background checks, and nobody pays to have one. Anyone in the directory can take the badge, and taking it does not change anything about how the listing appears.
Using it
- Keep the link. The badge is meant to be clickable, and the snippet already wraps it in one.
- Use the image from our address rather than saving a copy, so it stays current if the drawing changes.
- Do not recolor it or edit the wording. Either version, at any size, is fine.
- Take it down whenever you like, and tell us if you want the listing itself removed.

The directory is the point of the badge. Fields, clubs, leagues, pickup games, indoor turf, shops and places to watch, by city.
