How to start an Official Chelsea Supporters Club in your city

The 15 supporters and the member-holding chair Chelsea asks for, the £125 ticketing-club route, how Chelsea in America fits, and what to have ready before you fill in the form.

Chelsea fans in the United States have two structures to know. Chelsea FC recognizes Official Chelsea Supporters Clubs worldwide through its own supporters club website, and Chelsea in America, which its about page describes as a registered 501(c)(7) not-for-profit founded in 2004, coordinates the US-based official groups under five regional platinum clubs: American Heartland, American Southwest, Carefree California, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. A local group can sit inside both. On matchday it looks like every other chapter: one pub, every match, the sound on, a scarf on the table so the new arrival knows where to sit.

What Chelsea requires

  • Create the club on the club’s site. The Official Supporters Clubs website has a Create a New Club path for anyone with no club nearby. The club’s announcement of the site says the details of how to create a club live there, alongside FAQs and video guides, and that each club gets its own profile that fans can ask to join.
  • At least 15 supporters who meet regularly in one location. The club’s supporters club FAQs define an Official Supporters Club as a group of 15 or more fans, and say that to set one up the club’s chair must also hold an active Chelsea membership, True Blue or CFC Blue, or be a 2025/26 men’s team season ticket holder. The FAQs state no fee to create a club.
  • Ticketing clubs are a separate, paid step. The same FAQs say an Official Supporters Club can apply to become a ticketing club for a one-off £125 fee, subject to the criteria for each tier. Outside the UK and Europe the minimums are 15 members for Silver, 25 for Gold and 50 for Platinum, counting only members who live locally to the club and hold a current Chelsea membership; season ticket holders do not count toward the number. The club secretary can then charge those members up to £20 each to cover admin costs, and renewing costs £125 at any tier. When we read the page, applications for ticketing clubs had closed for the 2025/26 season, with future seasons to be announced.
  • Rewards tiers are targets, not the entry bar. According to the club’s rewards announcement, the Rose package asked for 250 members registered on the official website and 15 CFC members, the Ball package 500 and 50, the Crozier package 1,000 and 100, and the Lion package 2,000 and 200, with every tier also asking the club to host events and post photos of them with #ChelseaFCOSC. The FAQs now say every Official Supporters Club is enrolled in the rewards programme at no cost and that its details will be released after a relaunch of the programme at a date to be confirmed, so treat those figures as the shape of the scheme rather than its current terms.
  • Chelsea in America is a second step. Its join page says a Chelsea FC ticketing membership is required for ticket access through Chelsea in America, and that its own membership comes in Individual, Duo and Family options, with prices on its sign-up page. Its groups page is a finder for its US chapters; the five platinum clubs are named on its about page.
  • Questions go to OfficialSupportersClubs@chelseafc.com, the address the club gives for supporters club queries.

Before you apply

  • A bar that will show every Chelsea match with sound, including the early Saturday kickoffs and midweek cup nights.
  • A name that says Chelsea and says your city. Existing US groups include Shed End Dallas and Chelsea Chicago. Check the Find Club directory so you do not collide with a name in use.
  • Fifteen supporters who will meet at the pub regularly, and a chair who holds a Chelsea membership (True Blue or CFC Blue) or a men's team season ticket, since the club asks for both.
  • An Instagram or X account with the pub, the kickoff routine and photos from the matches you have already watched together.
  • The platinum club for your region, from Chelsea in America's about page, so you know who to tell.

Getting recognized

  1. 1
    Search the directory
Find Club on the official site lists every recognized club. If your city has one, join it. Chelsea in America’s groups page is a finder for its US chapters.
  2. 2
    Use Create a New Club
The form is on the Official Supporters Clubs website. Have the pub, the socials and the founding members ready; the club builds your club’s profile from what you submit.
  3. 3
    Tell Chelsea in America
Contact it through its site so your group is placed under the right platinum club and appears in its chapter finder. It is the route to US tour events and to ticket requests for members who hold a Chelsea FC ticketing membership.
  4. 4
Ask the club anything the form does not answer
OfficialSupportersClubs@chelseafc.com is the address the club gives for supporters club queries. Ask there rather than assuming.

After you are official

  • Announce it and start posting matchday photos with #ChelseaFCOSC; the rewards scheme counts posted activity as well as headcount.
  • Meet every match. A club that skips the cup ties is a club people stop checking.
  • Keep the schedule public. Next kickoff in local time, doors-open time, any change of venue.
  • Send joiners to your profile on the official site, so the club’s count of your members grows with the real one. The rewards programme, once relaunched, counts registered members.

List the chapter on SoccerMapd

SoccerMapd’s where-to-watch page for Chelsea lists chapters by metro and links each one, next to the week’s fixtures in local time and the US TV channel where it is announced. A club that lists itself appears there for its city, on the Chelsea team page and in the supporters club directory. State whether you are an Official Chelsea Supporters Club or a group still applying; both belong on the map.

Once listed, ask for the schedule console link and tick the matches you are showing. The supporters club guide walks through it. No account is needed and nothing costs anything.

Questions

Where do we create an Official Chelsea Supporters Club?
On the club's Official Supporters Clubs website, officialsupportersclubs.chelseafc.com, which has a Create a New Club path and a Find Club directory to check first. Questions go to OfficialSupportersClubs@chelseafc.com.
How many members does Chelsea require?
At least 15 supporters who meet regularly in one location, according to the club's supporters club FAQs, with a chair who holds an active Chelsea membership (True Blue or CFC Blue) or a men's team season ticket. Becoming a ticketing club is a separate step with a one-off £125 fee and its own per-tier minimums, starting at 15 locally resident Chelsea members for Silver outside the UK and Europe. The rewards tiers the club announced earlier, from the Rose package upward, are due to be redefined after a relaunch of the programme.
What is Chelsea in America?
A registered 501(c)(7) not-for-profit founded in 2004 that coordinates the US-based Official Chelsea Supporters Groups under five regional platinum clubs: American Heartland, American Southwest, Carefree California, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. It is separate from Chelsea FC's own recognition of a club.
Do our members need Chelsea memberships?
For tickets, yes. Chelsea in America says a Chelsea FC ticketing membership is required for ticket access through it, and the club's rewards tiers count CFC members. To watch at the pub, no.
