# USL League One map data

Research checked September 11, 2026. This file records actual League One participation, not each organization's founding year. The league began in 2019. Championship, League Two and future announcements are documented separately. A club that changes divisions shares its identity ID across those datasets; a simultaneously active reserve team is a separate team.

The December 2025 home-opener announcement still contained Tormenta; it must not be used as the final 2026 membership list. Likewise, Toronto's canceled 2020 participation is excluded.

## Geographic representation

Coordinates are approximate municipality centers, not stadium coordinates or driving routes. The map uses one documented home municipality per season and does not model every temporary, neutral-site or rescheduled match. Where a permanent move occurs within a season, the new home represents that season. Coordinates and display colors are cartographic inputs, not claims of survey precision or official brand hex values.

## Identity and logo handling

Names follow the season's identity: Fort Lauderdale CF is the 2020–21 Inter Miami reserve team, not the later Fort Lauderdale United organization. Richmond, Toronto FC II, Orlando City B, North Carolina, Charlotte Independence and Lexington share IDs with their Championship histories. Tormenta's professional first team and Tormenta FC 2 must remain separate during seasons in which both played.

League One crests are keyed by these identities. Club and league websites are the preferred sources; known missing artwork should receive a clear text fallback rather than an invented crest. Club marks belong to their respective owners. A single stable crest is used where no supported identity change was identified, rather than implying annual redesigns. Richmond's [January 29, 2025 rebrand announcement](https://www.uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/1329886) marks a real crest change: League One seasons 2019–2024 use `richmond-legacy`, while 2025–2026 use `richmond`. The [archived 2012–2024 artwork](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Richmond_Kickers_Logo_2012_to_2024.svg) credits the club. Fort Wayne's [October 23, 2025 rebrand](https://www.uslleagueone.com/news_article/show/1348546) introduces autumn gold and black, a new monogram crest, and the full first-reference name **Fort Wayne Football Club** for its 2026 professional season. Its earlier League Two identity must not inherit that newer mark.

Future 2027/2028 seasons are scenarios, not historical results. In particular, AC Boise's [September 9, 2026 announcement](https://www.uslleagueone.com/news_article/show/1366442) moves it to the Championship in 2027; it must not also remain in the League One projection.
